Accessibility
Our goal is to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This statement describes where we are today, honestly, and how to reach us.

Our commitment
A site built for everyone
AudioVerde is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability or the technology they use. Our goal is to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
Conformance status
Partial conformance
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and we believe this site partially conforms to it. That means we have built to the standard and addressed the issues we are aware of, but some parts may not yet fully meet every success criterion.
This site has not been certified by any third party, and we do not claim full conformance. This statement reflects our own review and will be updated as we find and fix issues.
Measures taken
What we have done
- A skip-to-content link at the start of every page lets keyboard and screen reader users bypass the navigation.
- Visible focus indicators show which element is currently active when navigating by keyboard.
- Form controls have visible, associated labels, and the cookie banner and footer Cookie settings control can be operated by keyboard.
- Keyboard navigation reaches every interactive element in a logical order, and we aim not to trap focus.
- Meaningful images have text alternatives, and decorative graphics such as the waveform visuals are hidden from assistive technology.
- Animations respect your system reduced-motion setting, and the site never plays audio automatically.
- Text and interface colors are chosen with contrast in mind, and text can be resized without losing content or function.
- Semantic HTML is used for headings, landmarks, lists, and links, with ARIA added only where needed.
Compatibility
Assistive technologies and browsers
This site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge) and with common assistive technologies, including screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack, as well as screen magnification, voice control, and keyboard-only navigation.
It relies on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WAI-ARIA. Behavior can vary between combinations of browsers and assistive technologies, so your experience may differ from what we expect.
Known limitations
Where we may fall short
- We have not had this site audited by an independent accessibility specialist, so some issues may remain undiscovered.
- Color contrast in some decorative elements and on certain background combinations may not meet the AA ratio in every case.
- Support for individual screen reader and browser combinations has not been verified exhaustively.
- Links to third-party services, such as email clients opened from mailto links, are outside our control and may not be fully accessible.
